ONLINE LEARNING FOR COUNSELLORS & PSYCHOTHERAPISTS

WORKSHOP RECORDING DETAILS

We will venture into the modern fairy story "The Wizard of Oz", a classic for many as we approach Yule.

We will explore parts of the story through Psychodrama and some simple tools from art therapy. As we accompany Dorothy on her magical journey between two worlds, we observe how she resolves conflicts and overcomes obstacles on her path, and see how this resonates with us at a deeper level.

This workshop is experiential, and participants will be invited to explore the story in depth and engage actively in the activities. The story and accompanying exercises could then be used safely with clients of different ages, face to face or online.

Stories have been with us since the very beginning of humanity when we gathered around the fire to listen to myths of creation to connect us with our inner selves, our clan and the universe. Stories have accompanied us through dark times, of war and plague and they are here to accompany us now, with their medicine, in this time of uncertainty.

Testimonials: Live Attendees

Ruth Sonntag

This is the third Story Medicine workshop that I have attended. I very much enjoyed another opportunity to make connections between another fabulous fairy tale to my own life, as well as my therapeutic work with clients. I have also been finding that these workshops stimulate my own creativity as a writer of children's stories (currently). I would recommend these workshops who are on their own journeys of self discovery/healing, as well as to professionals helping others on that kind of journey.

Samantha Moxon

Insightful, reflective workshop, it exceeded my expectations and learnt different ways of working with clients because of it. Thank you!

Jennifer inspires and is well researched. I love the way she brings people in with their feelings and ideas generated from the exercises. A welcoming and loving spirit. A gentle soul who reaches out to others creativity, promoting insight. This workshop was organic and flowing - linked in an instinctual way throughout. Sorry I missed the singing as only able to view the recording.
