The development of neuroscience has a significant impact on the way treatment planning is organized and in this workshop, participants will learn some new insights into contracts, diagnosis and treatment planning from a neuroscience perspective, which may prove enriching for direct work with clients and offer fresh perspective on the role of the therapist when face to face with the client. We will look at the emphasis neuroscience has on the activation of both left and right hemispheres of the brain, safety and implicit memory repair influences the more traditional model of contract, diagnosis, and treatment direction. While including these elements, neuroscience has a rich contribution to make in creating a non-judgemental and agenda less attention to what our bodies are communicating to us, helping us to receive clients with an openness to the present moment.
